One month stats

finley had her one month pedi appt today and, drumroll, please.......she has gained some weight. she has finally gained back her birth weight plus a little more. she weighed 7 pounds, 7.8 ozs today. only in the 3rd percentile, but i think she is just going to be petite like mason.

i also remembered that i forgot to post about preslee and mason's 2 year appt. we went on january 30th, all 5 of us. mason was so excited to get weighed and measured, preslee not so much. she took off running down the hall crying, "no preslee get weighed." once we finally convinced her that we needed to weigh her, we went into the exam room. she and mason proceeded to climb up and onto anything they could. they unrolled the paper off the exam table and wanted to color. while preslee was being examined, mason took off her diaper, opened the door and took off running down the hall, completely naked, right into the waiting room full of patients and parents waiting to be seen. drew, of course, was mortified. i had to laugh. all the while, finley slept in the stroller.

the great news was that they are both 100% healthy, way ahead developmentally of a 2 year old and no more shots until they are 3.
preslee weighed 22 1/2 pounds and is 31 1/4 inches tall and mason weighed 20 1/2 pounds and is 31 1/2 inches tall.

Tiny Feet

One Month Old

how can it already have been 4 weeks since finley was born? is time really going by this fast? she is still a little peanut, but everytime i look at her, i think i can see her getting a little bigger. she is so strong, can almost hold that little head up without all the bobbing. we have been enjoying her sweet smiles for weeks (have yet to be able to catch it on camera yet, but i will keep trying) and she just coos up a storm.

preslee and mason really love her, but i still think they are trying to grasp the idea that she is their sister. for so long sister has just been the two of them. drew and i can't wait to watch them grow up together and share that special bond that only sisters can. every little girl needs a sister.

the fun is just beginning and we can't wait!

Our new Ride

drew and i took the girls out for a ride in the big boy stroller this weekend. they loved it and it really worked out great for all three girls. we have a huge hill at the bottom of our neighborhood and i decided that i would try to see if i could push it up the hill. drew and i figured it is about 40 pounds of baby and 40 pounds of stroller. well, i surprised myself and made it up the hill once, but just couldn't do it the second time around. can't wait for warmer weather!

Where did my little babies go?

3 weeks

even though finley is only three weeks old, we have already started to see glimpses of her little personality. she is so determined, trying already to hold her head up and look at you and the rolling over we thought was a fluke, well, she is still doing it. and when she's hungry, look out, we have a firecracker on our hands! our little girl loves her hot baths, just like her mommy.
