every year we take the girls to valley view farms to pick out some pumpkins and see the "largest pumpkin ever grown". this was finley's first time and as you will be able to tell, she loved it. i remember two years ago, when preslee and mason had just started standing, taking the exact same pictures with them.

Drumroll please.......
i know i usually save all of finley's developments for the monthly update, but drew and i can't believe all the things that she is doing right now at 8 1/2 months. she has started crawling, when she wants to.
but, she would just rather stand. yesterday, we walked into the nursery to this....
and today, this..... she is such a big girl! finley we are so proud of you.

Finley's Baptism Week and Party
last week my mom, dad and mamaw came to visit us. it was so great to see them and catch up on all we had missed since last time we were together. my mamaw had never met preslee, mason or finley and they instantly fell in love with her. they haven't stopped talking about her since she left.
as all grandparents do, they brought lots of gifts for the girls. these were the favorites!

on sunday, we finally had finley dedicated and baptized. it was such a special time for our whole family to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for and thank God for our sweet finley. lots of friends and family came and we had a party at our house afterwards.

finley with her proud godparents, mark and peggy. we couldn't be more honored to have them be such a special part of finley's life.

Dutch Wonderland
i can't believe that almost a month has passed since i have written one thing. we have been so busy! it's hard to believe that summer is already over and fall is here. the girls are just ending their first month of school and loving it. they are making so many new friends and learning so many things. to wrap up the summer, we took them to lancaster, pa to dutch wonderland for the day.
the slides were their favorite and even mason who tends to be a little shy, loved this fun slide with daddy.
we ate tons of junk and played lots of games.
and at the end of the day, everyone took a nice long nap!
