Happy 17 Months!

preslee and mason you are 17 months old today. where has the time gone? you amaze me everyday with all you are learning and all you are capable of learning. just like little sponges, taking in everything around you. i can't even begin to count how many words you can say now. i used to be able to keep a list of them all and when you said them, but they are coming so fast and so many now that i just can't keep up with you. the latest is water, snack (nack), poopoo, peepee (while pulling on your diaper), nasty (naty), dirty (dirry), side for outside and preslee you call your sister meece. uncle mark and aunt peggy have lovingly become known as monka mock and pebby.

you are still the best of friends and have a bond like i have never seen. i love listening to you call for each other in the morning when you first wake up and comfort each other until you both fall asleep at night.

you can look at a picture of our family and point to each person and say their names. and you love to call heidi. i think she is your favorite.

i can't wait for your baby brother or sister to meet you. he/she has no idea the amount of love that you will have for them. what a lucky little baby and how lucky we are to have you in our lives!

happy birthday my sweet girls! mommy loves you!

Baby Beynon # 3

yes, you read the title correctly, there is going to be a baby beynon # 3. we are pregnant!!! God has blessed us again with another little miracle.

the first sign that our family was growing

and today, we saw our precious baby's heartbeat, at 142 bpm, for the first time. this never becomes less of a miracle no matter how many times you see it.

i am almost 8 weeks and feeling great. i was a little nervous because other than being super tired, i haven't had any morning sickness. at this point with my pregnancy with the girls, i had already been in the hospital once with being so sick. so, maybe (knock on wood), i won't have that symptom this time.
our tentative due date is january 28th, two days before the girls turn two. so for a little bit, drew and i will have three under two! YIKES! we are so excited and feel so lucky! stay tuned for more updates.

Happy Father's Day to my Daddy

as i prepare for father’s day with preslee, mason and drew tomorrow, i can’t help but think about all the special father’s days with my daddy. it seems like just yesterday that my own mom helped amy and i wrap our special gift that we had made for him. no matter how small or simple, to him, it was the best gift that he had ever received. he made us feel like we were the luckiest girls on earth!

there is nothing more special than a father/daughter relationship. throughout my life, my dad had always been there for me. he was always the perfect role model and one of the most influential people in my life.

so, daddy my message to you on this father’s day eve, is I Love You. you have made me a better person with the love and support you have given me. being your daughter is my gift. you are without a doubt, my hero and my first love! happy father’s day!!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

The Best Part of Having a Daughter

drew is completely out numbered.

there are 4 females in our house. and him.

poor guy.

yes, even the dog is female, so added to two daughters and one wife = one very girl-centered household!

this is what he has to put up with:
1. bedrooms decorated in pink with flowers and gingham. no footballs, cars or boyish pursuits in sight. (not for lack of trying on his end though!)

2. hair bows and barrettes, ribbons, rubber bands and other frilly, twisty things that he has no idea what to do with. not to mention having to remember to brush the girls hair instead of just patting it down and going.

3. trying to figure out why you can't put a red shirt with a pink pair of pants - they are in the same color family after all, aren't they?

4. remembering which cute little ruffly shirt goes with which cute little ruffly skirt and which cute little ruffly socks.

5. did i mention lots and lots and lots of pink?

6. being asked to read the same books over and over again.

7. having to attend tea parties with stuffed animals and baby dolls and to brush hair on little multi-colored ponies.

8. being surrounded by strawberry shortcake, princesses, my little pony.

9. the $145,432,340 cell phone bill that is sure to come someday.

10. thoughts of 2 teenaged girls in the house someday, 3 women PMSing, how to keep boys away from his 2 daughters, way more feminine products, hair accessories and makeup than he ever wanted to see in one room, paying for 2 weddings and did I mention how to keep boys away from his 2 daughters?

and... the absolute best parts of it all
1. little girl kisses at bedtime and whenever else he wants.
2. being their hero when he puts a new toy together or builds a pillow fort.
3. freckles and curls.
4. little girl smiles and laughter when he tickles them or gives pony rides.
5. always having someone willing to snuggle with you.
6. the joy to come watching 2 strong proud women and knowing he had something to do with them turning out that way.
7. proudly giving away 2 brides.

so even though I suspect there's a slight bit of disappointment there that we haven't had any boys (yet) - i know he wouldn't trade his preslee and mason for anything in the world!

In love to our wives there is desire, to our sons there is ambition;
but to our daughters there is something which there are no words to express.

Dippin

i remember as a child dipping everything into ranch dressing. when i say everything, i mean everything! so today the girls had chicken fingers for lunch and i decided to let them try some "dip" for the first time. mason dug right in and dipped her little chicken fingers in it. she loved it! preslee decided to eat the ranch by the handfuls, then signed more. by the end of lunch, they were dipping everything on their trays, pickles, green peas, apricots, and crackers. the funniest part was everytime they would dip into the dressing, they would say "dee-up". i could hear a southern twang!!!
