yesterday was preslee and mason's first birthday party. everything was absolutely amazing! our house was packed with so many friends and family. the girls were great and it was just surreal to watch them and remember over the last year, how much they have both changed. when drew and i first started planning this party, we decided to make it small, just family. we knew the girls would never remember, but then we started talking about it more and realized that we remembered all the people who supported us when we were trying to get pregnant, celebrated with us when we found out that we were having
two little girls and prayed over us when i was in the hospital and the girls were in the nicu. so, our house was packed, but we knew it wouldn't be a party without everyone there.
mason was walking everywhere and preslee couldn't stop waving bye-bye to everyone. we had a clown come and do balloons with the kids and in typical beynon style, we had SO MUCH food. it was great!
it was hard to tell if the girls really liked their cake or not. i think they liked playing in it more than the sweet taste. but it made for some really cute pictures.
i don't think reality has quite hit me yet that my baby girls are almost one. yes, the party is over, but until wednesday when they
actually turn one, i can still watch them in denial that they aren't growing up so fast, right before my eyes. they are still my tiny little babies. they still and always will take my breath away.....
