2 Months Old

finley,
today you are 2 months old. how could it already be that 8 weeks has passed since you blessed your daddy and i again with yet another perfect little angel? you have been such a dream baby! at just 8 weeks, you are already sleeping through the night. what a joy that has been for your daddy and i. you are starting to recognize us and your big sisters, preslee and mason. your face lights up when they smile at you or bring you their toys. mason got so excited when you really smiled at her for the first time.

you are cooing and "talking" to us like crazy. i love it! you look us right in the eyes like you are really trying to tell us something. you decided this month that you love the swing too. yesterday i put you in it and you slept for 3 hours. you have been my little sidekick during the week. marissa comes over to play with your big sisters and you and i hit the road. we have gotten so much done for the new house and lots of shopping. you already recognize the word sale!

my favorite part of the day is right after your bath when you are warm and smell so sweet. after you eat, you cuddle up on my chest and we fall sound asleep. i wish i could bottle that sweet little baby smell. it's time that we get to spend together, just the two of us, while the rest of the house is sound asleep. promise me that these moments won't pass by too fast.

ps: yesterday you had your two month appt. you weighed 9 pounds 4.2 ozs and were 21 1/2 inches long. dr. yeh said you are in the 25th percentile and perfectly proportioned. (we already knew that).
